Chemistry Lab Technician (multiple openings)
General Responsibilities:
To conduct formulation preparation or analytical test in direct support of the drug development team, including writing documents and reports. Responsible for the maintenance of lab instrumentation and general lab duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare drug formulations according to established procedures.
- Conduct liquid chromatography, dissolution analysis, wet chemistry prep and other instrument analysis of drug substance, drug ingredients, and formulations.
- Maintain sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Keep the lab in excellent working order
- Analyze test data, recognize results that are abnormal or deviate from those expected. Recognize equipment malfunction and factors affecting measurements and testing. Evaluate and solve problems related to sample preparation, variation and processing
- Recognize priorities and act accordingly. Maintain work flow and productivity improvements
- Proficient and consistent in performing laboratory test methods. Provide back-up for others as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Associates degree in a science field (chemistry or chemical engineering) plus at least 2 years of experience OR
- Bachelors degree in a science field (chemistry or chemical engineering) without working experience
- Experience in a formulation or analytical chemistry lab (preferred)
- Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007 or higher
- Must have work permit in US
Analytical Lab Manager
General Responsibilities:
To manage the analytical lab and provide analytical support for formulation development. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of analytical lab.
Essential Job Functions:
- Set up analytical lab (GMP and/or non-GMP) to support company operation;
- Maintain analytical lab in a functional and regulatory-satisfied status;
- Provide analytical service to support product development;
- Assist product development and provide documentation for product filing;
- Recruit and supervise associate scientists;
- Assist business development and company management matters.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in related field plus at least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical lab OR
- Bachelor/Master degree with seven/four years of working experience in analytical lab
- Hands on experience in analytical instruments (HPLC and dissolution apparatus)
- Familiar with cGMP and FDA regulations
- Preferably with people management experience in previous job function
- Must have work permit in US
